Emanuel Worrel was 83 and widowed, a retired glassworker and for many years a resident of Yorktown before moving to Muncie to make his home with his daughter, Mrs. Clora Quire on W. Adams Street. Emanuel died at 8:20 p.m. Sunday at his daughter's home after an illness of six weeks.

Emanuel was born in Madison County and moved to Yorktown when a young man. He was employed for many years at the Skillen-Goodin Glass Company. He came to Muncie in 1918.

Emanuel Worrel's four sons, Frank, Homer, John and Harry served in the World War. Frank was killed in an accident in the States and John killed in action in Montfaucon France, his location unknown.

Surviving were three daughters, Mrs. Bertha Chrisman of Vincennes, Mrs. Clora Quire, Mrs. Harriette Reabe of Detroit MI; two sons, Homer Worrel of Northport NY and Harry Worrel of Richmond Center WI, nine grandchildren and three great grandchildren.

The body was removed to the M. L. Meeks & Sons mortuary where friends called. The funeral was at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Meeks mortuary with interment in Elm Ridge Cemetery.
