He was born Oct. 11, 1949, in Fairmont, a son of the late Harry Lovell Fry and Veda Agnes Gilles Fry. He is survived by his wife, Kelly Jeanne Gill Fry of Fairmont.
He is survived by his daughter, Misty Ann Fry of Houston, Texas; three brothers, Ronald, Larney and Harry Fry all of Rivesville; a sister and brother-in-law, Martha and Arthur Freeland of Shinnston; and many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.
He was a retired 1st class petty officer in the United States Navy, serving 21 years from 1969-1990. Chuck was Methodist by faith, a 1967 graduate from Rivesville High School and attended Fairmont State College. He was a member of the Honor Guard for the Military Veterans Council of Marion County, member of the Marion County Genealogy Society, member of the local Model Airplane Club, member of the B.P.O.E. No. 294 Fairmont Elks Lodge and lifelong member of the V.F.W. Post 7048 Fairmont. Chuck also had a passion for photography.
The family will receive friends at the Ford Funeral Home, DeGarmo Chapel, 207 Second St., Rivesville, WV 26588 Sunday from noon-4 and 6-7 p.m. A Memorial Service will be held in the funeral home Sunday at 7 p.m. with Pastor Stanley Merrifield officiating. The Committal Service will be held Monday at 9 a.m. in the West Virginia National Cemetery, Rt. 2, Box 127, Grafton, WV 26354. Full military funeral honors will be conducted at the cemetery by the Military Veterans Council of Marion County.
