Dr Don Leroy Eyler, age 94 of Judson Bullock Road in Warm Springs GA passed away Saturday, January 19, 2013 at his vacation home in Byrdstown TN. He was born February 7, 1918 in Lima OH to Elvin Howard Eyler and Elizabeth Susan (Freeze) Eyler.
He was a physician and practiced orthopedic medicine in Nashville TN and touched the lives of countless people until he retired in 1983.
He is survived by his wife, Kathryn (Reagan) Eyler of Byrdstown TN; three daughters, Kate, Karin and Jennifer Eyler all of Nashville TN; three sons, David Eyler and wife Joyce, Peter Eyler and wife Anne, Michael Eyler all of Nashville TN; one brother, Kent Eyler and wife Helen of Shelby OH; one sister-in-law, Ada Eyler of Lima, OH; five grandchildren; seven great grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews, friends and fishing buddies; best loved dog, Deogee.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Elvin and Elizabeth Eyler; wife, Mary Spurrier Eyler; brother, Elvin Eyler Jr; sister, Betty Huffman and husband James; numerous fishing buddies and friends; beloved dog, Boone.
Graveside services will be held Monday, January 21, 2013 at 1 p.m. from the Anderson Jones Cemetery in Byrdstown TN with burial in the Anderson Jones Cemetery.
Jeff Hill and Ricky Shepherd will be speaking. Pallbearers: Everett Reagan, Homer Reagan, Jeff Hill, Jr., Ricky Shepherd, Clint Hill and Daniel Hill. Honorary Pallbearers: Sam Holt Sr. and Hollis Reagan.
