"Lollie" and her husband Lowell Noxon were passengers on ill fated Trans World Airlines flight 514, going to Washington. They were returning home from visiting their daughter, Alice, in Indianapolis for the Thanksgiving holiday. Flight 514 was a regularly scheduled flight from Indianapolis, IN (IND), to Washington-National Airport (DCA), with an intermediate stop at Columbus-Port Columbus International Airport, OH (CMH). There were 85 passengers and 7 flight crew members aboard the aircraft when it departed Columbus for Washington. Due to high winds, the flight was diverted to Dulles Airport. On approach, the pilots mistakenly descended too low on their approach in poor weather and the aircraft impacted Mt Weather. There were no survivors.
