Henry Snoots was married to Nancy Filler in 1825, their marriage recorded in the records of the New Jerusalem Lutheran Church, Lovettsville, Loudoun Co., Virginia. Lovettsville was (and still is) known at "the German Settlement", and Henry and Nancy were both of German descent.
Henry took the family to Ohio where he bought land in Adams township, Muskingum County, in 1832. He was a farmer there before moving to the town of Adamsville in the 1850s.
Henry and Nancy had these children: Lydia (Mrs. Stiles Hanks, died in 1868); Mary (Mrs. James Blair, of Bourbon Co., KS); Jacob Addison "Add"; John; Emily (Mrs. Peter Bainter, of Henderson Co., IL); William; Sarah (Mrs. George Geller, Mrs. Samuel Harress); Amanda (Mrs. Andrew Shrigley, Mrs. G.T. Tingle); Henrietta (died a baby in 1842); and George.
Henry, wife Nancy and daughters Lydia, Sarah and Henrietta rest at Fairview Cemetery, which was once beside the Fairview Methodist Church, which the family attended.
