Second Lieutenant Bowman served with the 395th Bomb Group, 590th Bomb Squadron from the Ephrata Army Air Base.

He was one of nine airmen killed when B-17F Flying Fortress #42-29500 struck a mountaintop, 16 miles east of Ellensburg, Washington.

Son of Mrs. W. M. Bowman.
