POQUOSON - Betty C. Ragsdale, 65, a Poquoson resident for 33 years, died Tuesday, Nov. 19.
Mrs. Ragsdale had been employed as a cafeteria worker in Poquoson schools for the last 26 years. She was a native of Wachapreague.
Mrs. Ragsdale was a member of Abundant Life Tabernacle and was active in the Ladies Auxiliary and the choir.
Survived by her husband, James C. Ragsdale; a son, James W. Ragsdale of Poquoson; three sisters, Phyllis C. Kinney and Lavenia C. Curtis of Newport News and Ora W. Totolo of Alexandria; three brothers, Page J. Chandler and Andrew J. Chandler Jr. of Poquoson and Prentis E. Chandler of Glen Burnie, Md.; a grandchild and a great-grandchild.
Visitation from 7 to 8:30 tonight at Peninsula Funeral Home, Newport News. Funeral at 11 a.m. Friday at Abundant Life Tabernacle by the Rev. Glen Jones. Burial in Parklawn Memorial Park, Hampton.
