Born in South Kingstown, a son of Pauline I. (Reels) Norman of South Kingstown and the late Ellis E.G. Norman Sr., he had lived in South Kingstown all his life.
Mr. Norman previously worked for the Rhode Island Port Authority in North Kingstown for 12 years.
He was an Air Force veteran of the Korean War.
Besides his wife and mother he leaves two sons, Gregory L. Norman of Narragansett and Yardley L. Norman of Slocum; two daughters, Tammy M. Norman and Nicole D. Norman , and a brother, Ellis E.G. Norman Jr., all of South Kingstowntwo sisters, Beverly A. Smalley of Saunderstown and Paula M. Thompson of East Providence; and 2 grandchildren.
A funeral service was held Monday in the Avery-Webster Funeral Home, 88 Columbia St., South Kingstown. Burial was in New Fernwood Cemetery, Kingston.
