Michael (Mike) Kennedy, 91, Elwood, died Sept. 5, 2005, at St. Vincent Mercy Hospital. Born Sept. 5, 1914, in Elwood, he was the son of Frances and Anna (Davis) Kennedy. He married Mary Stevens June 22, 1938. She died Aug. 8, 1995. He retired in 1976 from Stevens Spring. He was a life member of the Elwood Elks Lodge No. 368 and served as exalted ruler at the lodge from 1954-1955. Survivors include two daughters and sons-in-law, Michele and husband, Charles Loser of Elwood and Grace and husband, Carroll Lovell of Elwood; grandsons, Christopher and wife, Tami Lovell of Gerard, III., Kyle Loser of Portland, Ore. and Kurt Loser of Indianapolis; and great-grandchildren, Colin, Kennedy and Kayleigh Lovell of Gerard, III. He was preceded in death by his parents; and his wife. Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 8, 2005, at Jackley-Landrum Funeral Home, with the Rev. Roger Gardner officiating. Burial will be in the Elwood City Cemetery. Friends may call from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home. The Elwood Elks No. 368 will hold a memorial service at the funeral home at 11 a.m.
