George Porter
George Porter was born in Cheyenne, OK on July 26, 1908. He died June 13, 1997 in OKC, OK. George married Ann Ayres on July 3, 1930 in Sayre, Oklahoma. They lived in the Cheyenne area until 1936 when they moved to Pixley, CA. After retirement in 1972 they resided in Newalla, OK until 1980 when they returned to Tulare, CA. In 1992, due to poor health they returned to OKC where they resided at the time of his death. George was returning to Tulare, CA for burial. Survivors include, wife Anna; three sons, James R. Porter of El Sabrante, CA, Rudene Porter of OKC, Jerry Porter of Clovis, CA; seven grandchildren, eleven great grandchildren, and two great great grandchildren. George also leaves behind many relatives and a host of friends.

His family holds dear many wonderful memories of him and will miss him more than words can express.

The Porter family wishes to thank his niece, Juanita Gordon of Elk City, OK for the loving care she provided to him during his illness. Other local niece and nephews are Evie and J.T. Porter and Donna LeGrand.
