Harold Duward Broome, age 83 of Austell died January 29, 2013 at Tranquility Hospice in Austell. Graveside service was held at Mt. Harmony Memorial Gardens with Rev. David Chafin officiating.
A transportation dock foreman, he worked for Roadway Express and various other companies; was a United States Armed Forces Member serving in the Navy; was a Mason, belonging to the Grand Lodge of Free & Accepted Masons.
He is survived by his wife Joyce Harris Broome; sons Jerome Broome of Newnan, Terry Broome of Powder Springs; daughters Lynn Broome of Austell, Coleen Broome Camp of Mooresville, N.C.; sisters Mary Ferrell of Newnan, Annie Mae Copeland of Tifton; brother Ronald Broome of Fairburn; five grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.∼Even though he has a tombstone here with his 1st wife, his obit says he was buried in Mount Harmony Memorial Gardens Cemetery, Mableton, Cobb Co, GA.
