Born to Elliot Leslie and Clara Ethel (Pingry) Griffin.

USMS-Merchant Marine-during WWII, 40 year Master Mason, who taught us what to do and not do in life. Sometimes, we actually listened.

Father and Grandfather... dear friend, who is missed my many.

"The men and ships of the Merchant Marine have participated in every landing operation by the United States Marine Corps from Guadalcanal to Iwo Jima -- and we know they will be at hand with supplies and equipment when American amphibious forces hit the beaches of Japan itself."
Lt. Gen. Alexander A. Vandegrift, U. S. Marine Corps Commandant.

Recipient of the W.W.II Victory Medal, Presidential Testimonial, Honorable Service Award after having served in the Pacific, Atlantic and Europe.

He was not famous, he was just our Dad.
