Hiram T. Miller Jr., 72, of U.S. Soldiers and Airmens Home, Washington D.C., formerly of York, died Jan. 29 at the home.

The service was Thursday in Arlington (Va.) National Cemetery. The U.S. Soldiers and Airmens Home, 3700 N. Capitol St., NW, Washington, D.C., was in charge of the arrangements.

Mr. Miller was born July 17, 1921, in York. He was the son of the late Hiram and Mary Miller.

He was a member of the American Legion Shiloh Post 791, the Eagles of York, the Orioles of York, and the Veterans of Foreign Wars Hallam Post 7045.

Mr. Miller is survived by three sons, Hiram T. Miller III and Lee Douglas, both of York, and David Miller of Grand Junction, Colo.; a daughter, Susan Shell of York; and several grandchildren. 01-29-94
