The deceased was ninety-one years of age and had lived for more than forty years on the farm where she died. Her husband, William Barnett, was accidentlly killed while hunting several years ago. They came to this county from Rush County. There are surviving fours sons, James of Kempton, John residing on the home place, Robert of Kirklin and George of Danville, Illinois.

She settled in Clinton County in an age that made strong men and women and her character once formed remained the same to the close of her life. She was a good motherly soul, who was greatly beloved by her friends and neighbors and her death is to them almost in the nature of a personal bereavement.
