Edward G. Booth Dies At Age of 83
Edward Gault Booth, 83, of 422 E. 3rd St., a retired farmer, died at the Kentucky Convalescent Home at 1 a. m. today after an illness of three years.
Born in Daviess County on April 12, 1868, a son of Mr. and Mrs. Waller Booth, for whose family Booth Avenue here was named, Mr. Booth had engaged in farming throughout his lifetime. Surviving are two sons, Sam W. Booth, Owensboro, and Henry Overstreet Booth, Nashville, Tenn.; a daughter, Mrs. Robert E. Fields, Route 1, Owensboro; a brother, W. B. Booth, Owensboro; a sister, Mrs. Alex Ayers, Bardstown; 12 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. The body is at the Haley-McGinnis Funeral Home, 519 Locust St., where prayers will be said by the Holy Dame Society at 8:15 p. m. Sunday. Funeral services will be held at 9 a. m. Monday at St. Paul's Church, of which he was a member, the Rev. Thomas A. Murphy, assistant pastor, officiating. Burial will be in the Catholic Cemetery.

Mrs. W. M. O'Bryan announces the marriage of her sister, Miss Hallie Murphy, to Mr. Edward G. Booth at St. Paul's rectory at 7:30 p. m. Tuesday. The Very Rev. C. P. Bowling, V. G., pastor of the church, officiated.
