Age 84 of the Town of Richmond. Born in the Town of Herman, he was the son of the late Michael and Emma (Heins) Stoehr. After graduating from the Gresham High School, Grant enlisted with the United States Army and served his country with the Artillery Division during the Korean War. On September 14, 1954 he was united in marriage to Dolores M. Hoeft in Wausau. The couple made their home in the Town of Red Springs where they owned and operated a dairy farm and raised their eight children. When not tending to his farm and family, Grant enjoyed hunting and bowling. He also enjoyed baseball, whether it was watching the Chicago Cubs or coaching the Gresham Little League Team. Grant was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints Shawano Ward. He was also a member and former Chaplain of the Gresham American Legion and past member of the Gresham Lions. Grant is survived by: his wife of 58 years, Dolores; his 8 children, Peggy (Larry) Gorman of TX, Charlene (James) Labiszak of OH, Paul (Chris) Stoehr of WI, Steve (Lorraine) Stoehr of CO, Scott (Gail) Stoehr of WI, Lorie (Jack) Rogers of UT, Jodie (Kevin) Gilding of WI, David Stoehr of WI; 25 grandchildren; 31great-grandchildren; a brother, Delroy (Linda) Stoehr of WI; and a sister, Joyce (Joe) Miller of UT. Grant was preceded in death by: his parents; a brother, Audrey; and 2 sisters, Eleanor and Muriel.

Funeral services will be held at 12:00 noon on Saturday, February 16, 2013 at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints Shawano Ward with the Bishop Michael Williams officiating. Burial will be in the Roosevelt Cemetery in the Town of Seneca. Visitation will be held at the church on Saturday from 9:30 am until the time of the service. Swedberg Funeral Home in Shawano is assisting the family with the arrangements.
