Country singer. Known as "The Golden Hillbilly," Goldie Hill began her career in 1952 when she joined her brother Tommy as part of Webb Pierce's band on the Louisiana Hayride. Shortly after, she moved to Nashville and signed with Decca Records. Her number One hit "I Let The Stars Get In My Eyes" was an "answer" to Skeets McDonald's "Don't Let The Stars Get In Your Eyes." Known for her striking beauty, Goldie also toured with the Philip Morris Country Music Show in the mid 1950s and retired from country music after marrying future Country Music Hall of Famer Carl Smith.
