BARRINGER -Mrs. Edna Frances Barringer, passed away peacefully on July 1, 2003 in Ojai, CA. She follows her beloved husband of more than 60 years, Arthur Charles Barringer, who passed away on April 18, 1997. Edna, or "Bunny" to her husband and her closest friends, was born on August 27, 1914 in Bisbee, Arizona where she grew up with her brother Raymond Keast, and graduated from Bisbee High School in 1934. She was married to "Barry" on July 27, 1936 in the Wee Kirk O' The Heather Chapel at Forest Lawn in Glendale, CA. In July of 1938, she gave birth to the first of their three children, Midge Dandridge who now resides in Ojai, CA. Not long afterwards, the couple and their young daughter moved to Southern California where their next two sons were born, Gary Barringer of Arcadia and Charles Barringer of San Diego. It was in San Marino in their cherished San Gabriel Valley that she and her husband ultimately settled to raise their family, in as giving and loving manner as any parents have or ever will. She was a superb homemaker who exuded charm, class, and humor and as one who loved to sew, travel, listen to and play music as well as entertain their many friends. Both she and her husband where members of the Bridge Club comprised to their closet friends for over four decades and she was also a member of the "Five Weary Mothers" whose yearly vacations in Palm Springs became well known within that community. Most of all, she gave her love unconditionally and will be greatly missed by all who knew her.

She is survived by her three children, four grandchildren, Jeff, Vicki, Mandy and Bill, and by six great grandchildren, Katie, Laura, Ashley, Kelsey, Michael, Abigail and by her much loved cousin, Helen Gipson. Interment was on July 7, 2003 at Rose Hills Memorial Park in Whittier, next to her husband, and overlooking both the ocean and mountains that she loved so much.
