Services for Rev. D. Emerson Tobias, 76, of 3147 Gardendale St., Downey, Calif., a native of Greene County, were conducted Oct. 23, at 3 p.m. in the Congregational Church of Downey. Burial was in Rose Hills Memorial Park there. Rev. Mr. Tobias, a retired minister of the Evangelical and Reformed Church, died Oct. 21 in the hospital in Downey. He was graduated from Heidelberg College at Tiffin, and the Dayton Theological Seminary. He moved to California in 1953. Mr. Tobias owned a farm in Beavercreek Twp., where he lived prior to leaving the state. He is survived by a son, William Tobias, and three grandchildren, all of Los Alamitos, Calif.
