Mable Cannon wa born at the farm on Burnett Road, Brimfield Township. She attended Brimfield Schools and graduated from Kent State University Hight School. She was interested in domestics and was an excellent seemstress. Sheplayed the piano and enjoyed music. She took part in the Methodist Choir as a young girl.

She married Dallas Stratton in 1933 and after declining health, she passed this life August, 26, 1938. Leaving two small girls behind. Their father chose to go into the army and put the girls up for adoption. They were adlopted and raised by Ted & Esther Atchison. Their identity became known to them late in years after the demise of the foster parents.

Dallas Stratton died in 1977 and is buried at Grandview Cemetery in Ravenna, Ohio.

Mabel is buried at Brimfield at Restland Cemetery beside her mother and father.
