Melody Jean (Tune) Dolan was born on September 28, 1933, the daughter of John Cunningham Tune (1903-1971) and Harriett B (Childress) Tune (1907-1976).

She was raised in Nashville and flew for two decades as a stewardess for American Airlines, the Military Air Transport Service and the Los Angeles Dodgers. She retired to Beverly Hills, California, where she started an interior design firm.

Melody was married Kline Monroe Dolan (1916-1984), the son of George Kline Dolan. They settled in Rancho Mirage, California. After her husband's death, she returned to Nashville in 2002 and was a Communicant of Saint Henry's Catholic Church and a volunteer and Special Eucharistic Minister.

Living at Saint Thomas Alive Hospice in Nashville, she passed away on February 16, 2013.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her brother John Childress Tune; sister Ellen Anne Tune; her husband; and nephew James Clark Turner. Survivors include two sisters; a sister-in-law; seven nephews; and fifteen grandnieces and grandnephews.

Mass was held at Saint Henry's Chapel on Highway 70, and burial was in Harpeth Hills Cemetery.
