Patricia Anne Canfield Bailey was born in Birmingham, Alabama on October 25, 1951, parents James Arthur Canfield and Nancy Margaret (Margie) Finch Canfield. Pat lost her long, courageous fight against breast cancer February 1, 2008. She graduated from West End high School in 1969. She attended Jacksonville State University and received her LPN degree from Bessemer Technical Community College in 1977. In 1987 she received her RN degree from Jefferson State Junior College. Pat worked at Brookwood Hospital beginning in 1977 until April 2007 in the CVSU unit where she worked for most of those years.
Pat was predeceased by her grandparents, Arthur Eugene and Gabriel Cecilia Murphy Canfield, and Orlando Stephenson and Nancy Bolding Finch; her father, James Arthur Canfield; and her ex-husband, Robert Terry Bailey. Survivors include her mother, Nancy Margaret (Margie) Finch Canfield, son Justin Brooks Bailey, her only child; sister, Cecilia Canfield and husband, Alan R. Matthews; her nephew, Carson Bolding Robinson and wife, Rebecca Pugh Robinson.
