Death of Former Resident
Chas. O'Brien, of north of town, received a telegram Wednesday stating that his mother, Mrs. Emily O'Brien, passed away at Los Angeles, Calif., from the effects of a stroke of paralysis which she suffered on Monday.
Mrs. O'Brien was about 74 years old and lived north of town for many years and moved to California about fourteen years ago. She leaves five children to mourn her death, Charles of north of town, Brock, of Kansas City, Dan and Mrs. Frank Hagar and Mary Linthicum, of Los Angeles, and a number of grandchildren.
Mr. O'Brien thinks her remains will be sent here for interment but at the time of going to press he had received no further word.
Deceased had many old friends in this city and vicinity who will be sorry to hear of her death.
