Funeral service was held May 27, 1980 for L. E. (Ed) Talley, 55, of Flint, Mich. Rev. Harold K. Polk, Jr. officiated.

Mr. Talley was born in Steele July 29, 1924 and had been a Flint resident since 1946. He died May 23, 1980 at McLaren General Hospital.

He served in the U.S. Army during World War II. He was an active member of Buick Local 599 and a member of the Board of Directors of Security Employees Federal Credit Union. He was employed 30 years by the Buick Motor Division and had retired in 1976.

Mr. Talley leaves his wife, Joan; sons and daughters-in-law, Raymond and Connie Talley of Lapeer, Mich., John and Joyce Talley of Otisville, Mich., and Jeff, of the home; daughter, Susan, of Flint; mother, Ella Talley, of Steele; brothers, W.O. Talley of Southaven, Miss., Damon Talley of Camdenton, Mo., James Talley of Como, Miss., U. V. Talley of Fenton, Mo., and Charles Talley of Como, Miss.; sisters, Lela King of Flint and Dorothy Mathenia of Flint; seven grandchildren and many nieces, nephews, and other relatives.
