Mary Jean Albretsen Seversen passed away peacefully Feb. 18th 2013, after a long battle with Parkinson's disease.
Born Oct. 11, 1924 to Julius Fritz and Jennie Jensen Albretsen in Malad, Idaho. Her schooling was in Malad, Idaho graduating with the class of 1943. In 1945, just for the fun of it, she ventured with friends to Long Beach, California where they worked for California Shipbuilding Corp. as Welders. She then moved to S.L.C. Utah where she made her home. She married Albert Jack Seversen, June 14, 1948; it was later solemnized in the S.L.C. Temple. Jean was a devoted wife and Mother. She was an active member of the Church. Jean furthers her education by attending Continental College of Beauty in S.L. C. graduating in 1962.
In 1976, Jean and her Husband invested in the "Home Hotel" located in Lava Hot Springs, Idaho, but after ten years they decided to retire and do R.V. traveling with friends.
She is survived by her Husband Jack and was preceded in death by her only Son, Ronald Seversen.
Funeral services will be held Friday, February 22, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. at the Wandamere LDS Chapel, 2700 South 3rd East, So. Salt Lake City. Friends and family may call one hour prior to services at the church. Interment: Hyrum City Cemetery, Hyrum, Utah.
