Died, Wednesday, Jan. 10, 1900, at San Diego, Cal., Mrs. Mary Short Kincaid, aged about 42 years. Mary Short Kincaid was the wife of Joseph H. Kincaid and was formerly a resident of Indian Point, Menard county. She was the only daughter of Mr. and Mrs. James Short, now residing at Indian Point. About twelve years ago Mr. and Mrs. Kincaid moved to San Diego in the hope of benefiting the health of their children. Mrs. Kincaid had been ill about three weeks. Besides her husband she is survived by three children, Harry, Roy, and Ruth.
The remains, accompanied by Harry and Ruth Kincaid will arrive at Petersburg Friday morning and will be conveyed to the home of her parents. The funeral will occur Saturday morning at the Presbyterian church. The interment will be made in Indian Point cemetery. IL State Journal, Springfield, IL 1-17-1900
