She was born Jan. 27, 1921, in Alliance and lived in Alliance all of her life. She was a graduate of Alliance High School and was a member of Lexington United Methodist Church.
Mrs. Frederick was a member of Lexington Grange, the Homemaker's Club and several area card clubs. She enjoyed traveling the world; camping; watching sports, especially the Indians and the Browns; and spending time with her children and grandchildren.
She is survived by her daughters, Linda (Joseph) Leigh of Chincoteague Island, Va., Lea Ellen (Ronald) Abrams of Springfield, Ohio, Lana Varga of Alliance, Lo Ann (Dale) Groghan of Stow and Louise (Donald) Berrier of South Charleston, Ohio; a son, Lowell (Julie) Frederick of Kalispell, Mont.; 12 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; a sister, Donna Hoover of Alliance; and several nieces and nephews.
Preceding her in death were her husband, Lewis G. Frederick, on June 25, 1989, whom she married on Nov. 11, 1942; her parents, Norman and Nellie (Battershell) Emery; a sister, Jane Ruthrauff; and a son-in-law, Steve Varga.
Interment will follow at Marlboro Cemetery.
