Son of Thomas J. and Roxanna McBride; born November 1, 1894, Ronda, N. C. Moved to Elwood, Ind. when only a few years old. Enlisted in U.S. Regular Army December 15, 1917, Indianapolis, Ind. Sent to Columbus Barracks, Ohio; then to Camp Grant, Ill. Assigned to 282nd Aero Squadron. Transferred to the Aviation Mechanics Training School, St. Paul, Minn.; later sent to Call Field, Tex., where he died of pneumonia, November 22, 1918. Buried in Elwood, Ind.
