Lorna passed away on Tuesday, February 26, 2013 in Oshawa in her 71st year. She is predeceased by her parents Lorne & Penelope McPhail. Loving mother to Christopher (Edie), Deborah (Rick Sauer), Kevin (Ellen) Driscoll and Melissa (Tony) Miller. Cherished grandmother to Shaina, Kyle, Rachel, Amanda, Edward and Ethan and great-grandmother to Mya. Dear sister to Kenneth, Susan (Andrew) Jarvis, Heather McPhail (John Creally) of B.C.. Richard and David (Cathy). She is survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
Family and friends will be received at the Gordon F. Tompkins Funeral Home - Township Chapel 435 Davis Drive (Taylor Kidd Blvd. & Centennial Drive) on Saturday, March 2, 2013 from 12 Noon until 1:00 p.m. Liturgy of the Word will be celebrated in our chapel in Saturday, March 2, 2013 at 1:00 p.m. Rite of committal with prayers in St. Mary's Cemetery. For those wishing, donations may be made to the Lakeridge Health R.S. McLaughlin Cancer Centre in her memory.
