EVALYNE F. BLOEDORN

Evalyne F. Bloedorn, age 88, former Two Rivers resident, died Monday afternoon, March 18, 2002 at Shady Lane Nursing Care Center, Manitowoc.

Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. on Thursday, March 21, 2002 at St. John's Evangelical Lutheran Church, Two Rivers. Officiating at the service will be the Rev. David Scherbarth, with entombment to follow in Knollwood Chapel Mausoleum, town of Kossuth.

Evalyne was born May 18, 1913 in Brillion, daughter of the late Ernest and Clara Schwander Buboltz. She attended grade school and high school in Brillion. On June 19, 1937, she married Hubert Bloedorn at Trinity Lutheran Church, Brillion. He preceded her in death Feb. 8, 1977. The couple owned and operated a farm in the Reedsville area until 1962 when they moved to Two Rivers. Evalyne then worked at Hamilton Industries for a number of years, until her retirement. She was a long time member of St. John's Lutheran Church, where she participated in the sheepshead marathon and was a member of the Ladies Society of the church. She enjoyed playing dartball in the Cool City league, crocheting and craft work.

Survivors include three daughters and two sons-in-law, 14 grandchildren; and 17 great-grandchildren. She is further survived by a brother, and a sister-in-law, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by a son: Frederick Bloedorn; a daughter and son-in-law: Janet and Harry Wendt; one brother: Waldemar Buboltz; and a sister-in-law: Mabel Buboltz.

Friends may call at St. John's Lutheran Church, Two Rivers, on Thursday after noon until the time of services at 1:30 p.m. There will be no visitation this evening. Deja & Martin Funeral Chapels, Two Rivers, is assisting the Bloedorn family with funeral arrangements.

The family would like to extend a very special Thank You to the entire staff of Shady Lane Care Center, especially the nurses on second floor, for the years of loving care and kindness given to their mother.
