Joseph L. Jenks, 83, of Milford died Monday March 19, 2012 in the Milford Regional Medical Center, Milford. He was the husband of Roberta F. (Gillis) Jenks. Mr. Jenks had been employed for several years as an electrician for the Wyman-Gordan Co. in Worcester, retiring in 1991. He was born May 17, 1928 in Malden, son of the late Leo M. and Grace A. (Deering) Jenks. He was a graduate of Charlestown High School and attended Kansas State Teachers College. A resident of Milford for 35 years, he previously lived in Framingham and Somerville. Mr. Jenks served in the U.S. Navy during WWII. Mr. & Mr. Jenks observed their 60th wedding anniversary on Oct. 16, 2011. Joseph was a member of AA for 35 years and was active in supporting new members. In addition to his wife Roberta, he is survived by two sons, John J. Jenks of East Hampton and Joseph R. Jenks of Worcester; two brothers, James M. Jenks of California and John B. Jenks of Reading; three sisters, Katherine D'Angelis of Burlington, Theresa Leone of Medford and Mary Scalli of Gloucester; 2 grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services, with Full Military Honors, will be held Weds., March 28, 2012 with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 AM in St. Mary's Church, 19 Winter St., Milford. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be sent to the American Heart Association , P.O.
