RAYMA J. COONS
Rayma J. Coons, age 70, of 1415 N. 21st St., Manitowoc, died Wednesday, January 17, 2001, at her residence. Funeral Services will be held Saturday, January 20, 2001, at First Presbyterian Church, Manitowoc, with entombment at Knollwood Mausoleum, town of Kossuth.
She was born December 16, 1930, in Manitowoc, daughter of Edith (née Pierce) Buege and the late Raymond Buege. Rayma was a graduate of Oconomowoc High School, class of 1948. She then attended UW-Madison.
On February 25, 1950, she married Donald Coons, in Oconomowoc.
Rayma finished her education at Silver Lake College obtaining her Bachelors Degree in Education in the early in 1974. Rayma was an active member of First Presbyterian Church, serving as past church Deacon and Elder.
Survivors include her husband, Donald Coons, Manitowoc; her children and spouses: David Coons and Kristin Fossom, Clermont, California; Barbara Baldwin, Chicago, Illinois; Peter and Diane Coons, Golden Valley, Minnesota; Laura and Gary Pennington, Tucson, Arizona; her mother, Edith Buege, Manitowoc; a brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Franklin and Nadine Coons, Manitowoc; and a sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Helen and Don Pemberton, Wichita, Kansas. Nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends also survive.
The family will greet relatives and friends at the Pfeffer Funeral Home, Manitowoc, from 5-8 p.m. Friday (TONIGHT) and Saturday morning at first Presbyterian Church from 9 a.m. until the time of service at 10 a.m.
