Obituary: William M. Muncie
MUNCIE, William M., 79, of Virginia Street, New Martinsville, W.Va., died, Friday, March 4, 2005, at his residence. William was born, June 16, 1925 in Ashland, Kentucky.
He was a local electrician; a World War II Navy Veteran; a life time member of VFW Post 5565 of Powhatan Point, Ohio and a Protestant by Faith.
Surviving are his wife, Katherine Dennis Muncie; three sons, Donald, Dennis and his wife, Darla,of New Martinsville, William Muncie, Jr. of Norfolk, Va. and Edward Muncie and his wife, Vanessa, of Roanoke, Va.; six grandchildren, Michael Muncie, Maria Majores, Malonda Keyte, Krista Dennis and her friend, Shane Bonnell, Brianne Muncie and Nick Muncie; and three great- grandchildren.
Friends will be received at the Jarvis Funeral Home, 1224 South Bridge Street, New Martinsville, on Sunday, March 6, 2005 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m., where funeral services will be held on Monday at 1 p.m. with the Reverend Bruce Taylor, officiating. Interment in Northview Cemetery, New Martinsville.
Full Military Graveside Services will be conducted by New Martinsville American Legion Post 28, Paden City American Legion Post 86 and the Sistersville VFW Post 6327.
