Funeral Services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday at Holy Innocents Catholic Church, Manitowoc. Celebrating at the Mass of Christian Burial will be Rev. Gerald Foley with entombment to follow at Knollwood Mausoleum, town of Kossuth.
Colleen was born June 24, 1920 in Budyrus, Ohio, daughter of the late Eugene and Martha Shaw. She was a graduate of Bucyrus High School with the class of 1938. On October 29, 1942 she married Roger Faken at Maplewood, Wisconsin. The couple owned and operated cheese plants in Forestville, Hoffa Park and Branch, Wisconsin. Colleen was employed at First National Bank, Manitowoc; Chamber of Commerce and Manitowoc County Park and Planning before moving to Fort Meyers, Florida in 1981. Colleen served on the Martinique condominium board of directors for 15 years before moving back to Wisconsin due to illness.
Survivors include four sons and daughters-in-law: Dennis and Mary, Kiel, David and Roslyn, Manitowoc, Daniel and Mary, Manitowoc, and Douglas and Carlye, Kiel who will miss her very much, her nine grandchildren: Darla Heder, Debra Howitt, Chad Faken, Sara Faken, Corey Faken, Aimee Alfson, Heather Stecke, Tyler Faken and Amber Faken who were the jewels in her crown; her six great grandchildren who she enjoyed immensely; one sister and brother-in-law, Beth and Alan Groessl; two sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law; Jeanette and Donald Barta, Lorraine Geitner, nieces, nephews, extended family and friends also survive. Colleen was also preceded in death by her husband, Roger, her parents, a sister Joyce Wiesner and two brothers-in-law: Nick Wiesner and Robert Gietner.
The family will greet relatives and friends at Holy Innocents Catholic Church on Monday morning from 9 a.m. until the time of Mass at 11 a.m.
The Pfeffer Funeral home is assisting the family with funeral arrangements.
