Frances Finnel, age 71, of 430 Jorgenson St., Denmark, died unexpectedly August 10, 1999. The Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, August 14, 1999, at St. James Catholic Church, Cooperstown, with entombment at the Knollwood Mausoleum, town of Kossuth.
She was born July 17, 1928, daughter of the late Roman and Margret (née Drace) Nachtwey.
She married Kenneth Finnel on June 14, 1947. The couple enjoyed 51 years of marriage together. Through the years, she was a St. James Church Christian Mother, V.F.W. Auxiliary, Legion Auxiliary, and Farm Bureau member. She and her husband recently were volunteers for Meals on Wheels. Frances and her husband enjoyed a lifetime of farming. She also enjoyed playing cards and visiting with her friends.
Survivors include two daughters and sons-in-law, Lori and Dean Knuth, Ginger and Jim Renier; one granddaughter, Jamie, her pride and joy, Denmark; one sister, Jane and her husband, Ralph Wagner, Cleveland, Wis.; one sister-in-law, Patricia Wilson, Two Rivers; one brother-in-law, Frank Finnel, New Hampshire; one sister-in-law, Eleanor Finnel, Green Bay; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth; one daughter, Kay; her parents; one sister-in-law, Marion and her husband, Clemm Heiser; two brothers-in-law, Don and Jim Finnel; and one sister-in-law, Betty Finnel.
