William was born on March 24, 1915, in the town of Franklin, son of the late William and Mary Reznichek Fritsch. He married Florence M. Schambureck on Oct. 6, 1937. He and his wife farmed in the town of Cato. William was a member of St. Michael's Catholic Church and the Catholic Knights. Survivors include his wife: Florence, Whitelaw; three sons: William J. (Betty) Fritsch, Reedsville; Glenn (Gayle) Fritsch, Whitelaw; Edward J. Fritsch, Whitelaw; six daughters: Helen (Victor) Herrmann, Manitowoc; Nancy (John) Cohan, Whitelaw; Rita (Darryl) Mangin, Whitelaw; Joyce (Eugene) Schrank, Manitowoc; Sandra (Tom) Isselmann, Valders; Betty (David) Modra, Spring Grove, Ill.; 29 grandchildren; 44 great-grandchildren; two great-great grandchildren; one sister: Loretta Cavanaugh; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends also survive. Besides his parents, William was preceded in death by four sisters and five brothers-in-law: Emily and Roman Svacina; Elsie and Harry Baroun; Evelyn and Herb Stuiber; Olive and Roman Behnke; Edwin Cavanaugh; and one son-in-law: Edward Orth.
Relatives and friends may call at the Reinbold & Pfeffer Family Funeral Home of Kellnersville on Monday, Sept. 4, 2006, from 4 p.m. until 8 p.m. with a prayer service at 7:30 p.m. Deacon Thomas Koch will officiate. Visitation will continue on Tuesday at church from 9:30 a.m. until the time of service at 10:30 a.m.
