MARIE A. (JOST) FUNK

Marie A. Funk, age 85, of 2816 E. Hillcrest Rd., Two Rivers, died Tuesday morning, January 30, 2001, at Holy Family Memorial Medical Center, Manitowoc.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, February 2, 2001, at Holy Redeemer Catholic Church, Two Rivers. Officiating at the Mass of Christian Burial will be Rev. William G. O'Brien with entombment at Knollwood Mausoleum, town of Kossuth.

She was born June 13, 1915, in Cleveland, Wis., daughter of the late Paul and Anna Remick Jost. On April 19, 1936, she married Raymond Funk in Cleveland. He preceded her in death on March 20, 1989. Together the couple operated a farm in the town of Two Rivers for many years. Marie also worked for the Carron Net Company for many years and retired from the Metal Ware Corp. Marie enjoyed cooking, baking, gardening and playing cards especially Sheepshead. She especially cherished her grandchildren, great grandkids and enjoyed family gatherings.

Besides her husband, she was preceded in death by one son-in-law, Kenneth Krejcarek; one great granddaughter, Kiara Nicole Haese; one sister, Lorraine Funk; two brothers, Clarence and Frederick Jost.

Friends may call at Holy Redeemer Catholic Church after 9 a.m. Friday until the time of Mass at 11 a.m. There will be no Thursday evening visitation. The Deja & Martin Funeral Chapels, Two Rivers is assisting the family with funeral arrangements.
