Earl Gates, 67, of 2829 36th St., Two Rivers, died Thursday afternoon, December 26, 1989 at Two Rivers Community Hospital.
Mr. Gates was born March 29, 1922 at Two Rivers, son of the late Joseph and Philomene (née Grenier) Gates. He attended St. Luke Parochial School and Washington High School. Mr. Gates served during World War II in the United States Army.
He married Emily Novachek, June 1, 1946, at Manitowoc. Mr. Gates was employed as Press Operator in the Wood Plant of Hamilton Industries for 44 years.
Survivors include his wife, three sons and daughters-in-law, Michael and Sara of Manitowoc, Gary and Pam, William and Brenda of Two Rivers; a brother, Donald Gates of Two Rivers and two grandchildren, Kelly and Brian.
He was preceded in death by a sister.
Funeral services will be 10 am Friday at Holy Redeemer Catholic Church, Two Rivers, and entombment will be in Knollwood Mausoleum.
