DONALD H. GATES

Donald H. Gates, age 70, of 1822 28th St., Two Rivers, died Wednesday, May 28, 1997, at Holy Family Memorial Medical Center, Manitowoc.

Funeral Services will be held at 9:30 a.m. Saturday, May 31, 1997, at Klein and Stangel Funeral Home, and 10 a.m. at Holy Redeemer Catholic Church, Two Rivers. Rev. Paul Schumacher will officiate at the Mass of Christian Burial with entombment to follow at Knollwood Mausoleum.

He was born September 11, 1926, at Two Rivers, son of the late Joseph and Philomene Grenier Gates. He was a veteran of the United States Army infantry serving in the Pacific Theatre during World War II. He was employed with the Carron Net Company for 45 years retiring in 1987 as plant superintendent. Donald was a very active and dedicated member of the Two Rivers Historical Society and an avid golfer and bowler.

He was preceded in death by one brother, Earl; one sister, Delores; and infant son.

Friends may call at Klein and Stangel Funeral Home, Two Rivers, from 5-8 p.m. Friday. A prayer service will be held at 7 p.m. led by Father Schumacher. Don was a loving father and grandfather, and a special person who touched the lives of all who knew him.

Memorials would be appreciated to Holy Redeemer Catholic Church or the Two Rivers Historical Society.
