June G. Gauthier, age 84, of Two Rivers, died Tuesday, April 12, 2005 at her residence.

June was born Jan. 1, 1921 in Two Rivers, daughter of the late Arthur P. and Florence (Schultz) Marineau. She attended Two Rivers public schools and graduated from Washington High School with the class of 1939. On Nov. 20, 1941, June married Robert 0. Gauthier in Two Rivers. He preceded her in death on June 8, 1985. June was employed at Hamilton Manufacturing company for 24 years until her retirement. She was a member of the Two Rivers Historical Society, Two Rivers Homemakers and associate member of the Visually Handicapped Support Group, Veterans Auxiliary and the Two Rivers Senior Center. June was also the coordinator of volunteers in the surgical family waiting room at Two Rivers and Aurora Hospitals and enjoyed knitting caps for the newborn babies there.

June was preceded in death by her stepmother: Augusta (Stuerwaldt) Marineau; her mother-in-law and father-in-law: Olga and Oscar Gauthier; one sister and brother-in-law: Faith and Charles Koch; one brother-in-law: Leonard Gauthier; and one niece: Cindy Gauthier.

Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, April 16, 2005 at St. Peter the Fisherman Catholic Church, Two Rivers. Officiating at the Mass of Christian Burial will be the Rev. William O'Brien. Burial will take place following Mass at Knollwood Mausoleum, Manitowoc.

The family will greet relatives and friends at church from 9 a.m. until the
time of service. The Klein & Stangel Funeral Home and Cremation Care Center, Two Rivers, is assisting the family with funeral arrangements.

The family wishes to extend a special thank you to June's family and friends at River House Apartments who have been so supportive during her brief illness.
