Neuve-Chapelle Memorial
Birth: unknown
Death: unknown

The Neuve-Chapelle Memorial is located 800 metres south-west of the village of Neuve-Chapelle in the Nord-Pas-de-Calais region, 5 kilometres north of La Bassee and 20 kilometres west-south-west of Lille. Unveiled on October 7, 1927, this memorial commemorates over 4,700 Indian soldiers who died while serving with the British Indian Army in France and Belgium during World War I and have no known grave. Additional panels were later added to commemorate other fallen servicemen of the Army of India during both world wars. (bio by: Milou)
