Mabel B. Halderson, age 83, of 14621 Carstens Lake Road, Valders, died Saturday evening, January 11, 1997, at Holy Family Memorial Medical Center, Manitowoc.

She was born Mabel Bertha Ninneman on November 28, 1913, in Wausau, Wis., daughter of the late Herman and Bertha Rahn Ninneman.

She married Alfred W. Halderson, February 22, 1936, in Wausau. After marriage, the couple resided in Sheboygan County until they moved to Valders in 1950. Mr. Halderson preceded her in death on October 19, 1990. Mabel was a member of the Redeemer Lutheran Congregation.

Survivors include three daughters and sons-in-law, Carol (Zutz) and Verlin Christianson, rural Valders, Sandra and Patrick McGlin, Cato, Gail and Richard Konopacki, Madison; one son and daughter-in-law, Blake and Kayleen Halderson, rural Valders; seven grandchildren, Ginger Hammel, LaVonne Beecher, Carrie Boehmer, Brett Halderson, Jill Wittmus, Bart Halderson, Shawn McGlin; seven great-grandchildren; niece, nephews, other relatives and friends.

She was also preceded in death by one son-in-law, Ted Zutz; three brothers and one sister.

Funeral Services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, January 14, 1997, at the Redeemer Lutheran Church, Manitowoc, with entombment to follow at the Knollwood Chapel Mausoleum, town of Kossuth. Memorials would be appreciated to Redeemer Lutheran Church or the Manitowoc County Humane Society. The Pfeffer Funeral Home, Manitowoc, is serving the Halderson family.
