GREENVIEW - George M. Evers, 58, lifetime resident of Greenview, died at Memorial Hospital, Springfield, at 2:30 a.m. Saturday.
He was born on the family farm just east of Greenview, the son of Detrich and Anna Cordes Evers.
He was a member of St. John's United Church of Christ.
Survivors include his widow, Alta; one daughter, Mrs. Dixie Power, of Petersburg; one son, James A.; his mother, Mrs. Anna Behrends; two sisters, Mrs. Geraldine Cramer and Miss Louise Behrends; his stepfather, Henry Behrends; and four grandchildren, all of Greenview.
Funeral services were at St. John's United Church of Christ.
Burial was in Elmwood Cemetery in Greenview.
