NORBERT 0. JANSKY

Norbert 0. Jansky, age 87, formerly of Manitowoc, entered into eternal life on Monday, Oct. 25, 2004 at the North Ridge Medical and Rehabilitation Center in Manitowoc, surrounded by his loving family.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Oct. 27, 2004 at the Knollwood Chapel Mausoleum, Highway 310 in Manitowoc, with the Rev. Dave Hoffman officiating, with entombment in the mausoleum.

Norbert was born Dec. 14, 1916 in Tisch Mills to the late Edward and Clara Shimek Jansky, and has been a lifelong area resident. He worked as an auto mechanic for the Bartz Motor Company for many years, and later became their shop foremen. He then worked for the Manitowoc Ship Building Company as a welder until his retirement in 1983. He was a member of the Mishicot-Tisch Mills Knights of Columbus Council #4807 and co-founded the Squeekers Sip Club in Tisch Mills, and served as its first president. He enjoyed flying as a hobby, working at the Manitowoc Airport, and was a member of the Civil Air Corps.

He was also preceded in death by one brother, Vernon Jansky.

Relatives and friends may call after 9 a.m. on Wednesday at the Knollwood Mausoleum, until the times service at 11 a.m. there will no Tuesday evening visitation. The Lambert-Eckert Funeral Home, Mishicot, is assisting the Jansky family with funeral arrangements.
