Randolph Phillips, 72, of 124 Maher Street, St. Clairsville, died Saturday, July 20, 1974, in Ohio Valley General Hospital, Wheeling, W. Va., following an illness of the past six months. He was born at Armstrongs Mills, December 26, 1901, a son of the late Cornelius J. and Stocha Brandon Phillips. Mr. Phillips attended the Christian Church, and was a retired employe of the Belmont County Highway Department. Surviving are his wife, Leota Johnson Phillips; one son, Charles R. Phillips; and three daughters, Mrs. Ruth Skukan, Mrs. Hazel McMahon and Mrs. Margaret Skukan, all of St. Clairsville; one sister, Mrs. Maude Jobes, of Belmont; five grandchildren and three great grandchildren. Funeral services were held Tuesday afternoon, July 23rd, at one o'clock, in the Beck Chapel at St. Clairsville, with Rev. merle Burroughs officiating. Burial was in Union Cemetery, St. Clairsville.
