Services for Mrs. Mary Schaefer, 80, of 422 Plum St., Edwardsville, will be conducted 2 p.m. Monday at the Weber Funeral Home with the Rev. Robert O. Laaser officiating.
Mrs. Schaefer died yesterday evening at the Hitz Nursing Home where she had been a resident for the past five years.
She was the daughter of the late Louis and Mary (Scherf) Brave. Mrs. Schaefer was born Sept. 5, 1884 in Edwardsville Township and was preceded in death by her husband, Fred G., Aug. 14, 1964.
Surviving Mrs. Schaefer are three daughters, Mrs. Erwin Langendorf and Mrs. Leroy Lange, both of Edwardsville; and Mrs. Raymond Schlemer of Pocahontas.
Also surviving her are two brothers, William and Edward of Edwardsville and Wood River respectively; and two sisters, Mrs. Tillie Bardelmeier of Edwardsville, and Mrs. Edward Schoenbaum of Wood River; eight grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
Mrs. Schaefer was a member of the Circle 1, Eden Women's Guild and a member of the Eden United Church of Christ.
Pallbearers will be Gerald Langendorf, Ralph Lange, Ronald Schlemer, Kenneth Schlemer, Terry Langendorf, and Vernon Brave.
Friends may call at the funeral home after 11 a.m. Sunday and until time of service on Monday. Burial will be in Valley View Cemetery.
