Beatrice K. Kiel, age 91, formerly of Whitelaw, died Thursday evening, Aug. 10, 2006, at River’s Bend Health and Rehabilitation Center, Manitowoc.

Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Monday, Aug. 14, 2006, at St. Michael Catholic Church in Whitelaw. The Rev. James Jugenheimer will celebrate the Mass of Christian Burial, with entombment to follow at Knollwood Chapel Mausoleum, Highway 310, Manitowoc.

The former Beatrice Sickinger was born Nov. 25, 1914, in the town of Cato, daughter of the late Philip and Anna Grimm Sickinger. She attended St. Michael Grade School in Whitelaw. On July 14, 1938, she was married to Lester G. Kiel at St. Michael Catholic Church in Whitelaw. He preceded her in death on Jan. 9, 1998. She was a member of St. Michael Catholic Church, St. Michael Christian Mothers, Whitelaw Homemakers, and in the past, the Whitelaw Lioness Club. Beatrice enjoyed baking and cooking for her family, gardening and dancing with her husband.

Survivors include one daughter and son-in-law: Charlene (Dale) Berg of Cato; four sons and two daughters-in-law: David Kiel of Whitelaw; Donald (Lynn) Kiel of Whitelaw; Jack Kiel of Cato; Thomas (Debra) Kiel of Whitelaw; seven grandchildren: Eric and Matthew Berg; Luke, Brooke, Noah, Tyler and Gina Kiel; two great-grandchildren: Montanna Rose Kiel and Taylor Pfister; three sisters-in-law and one brother-in-law: Naomi Sickinger of Milwaukee; Betty (Cliff) Beaupre of Sand Bay; Joyce Kiel of Beaver Dam; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends survive. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; one son: Timothy Kiel; five brothers: Ralph, Erwin, Gerhardt, Martin and Florian Sickinger; four sisters: Siser Mary Bertilia; Sarah Helgeson; Lucille Fanslau; Barbara Herman; half-sister: Germaine Tuschl; one stepsister: Mayme Pfeffer; four stepbrothers: Frank, John, Lawrence and Edmund Grall.

Relatives and friends may call at the Reinbold & Pfeffer Family Funeral Home of Kellnersville on Sunday (TONIGHT) from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m. and on Monday at the church from 9:30 a.m. until the time of service at 10:30 a.m. Deacon Tom Koch will hold a parish prayer service on Sunday (TONIGHT) at the funeral home at 7 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations would be appreciated in her name.

Beatrice’s family would like to extend a special thank you to the staff of River’s Bend Health and Rehabilitation Center for the kindness and care given to Beatrice and her family.
