Evelyn A. Kolar, age 74, of 3012 Coolidge Place, Manitowoc, died Tuesday, July 9, 1996, at Holy Family Memorial Medical Center.
She was born June 3, 1922, in Manitowoc, daughter of the late Adolph and Bessie Lastofka Hamachek. She attended schools in Manitowoc and graduated with the Class of 1940 from Lincoln High School.
She married James Kolar December 28, 1946, in Manitowoc. He preceded her in death in 1987.
She worked for many years at Mirro Aluminum Company, retiring in 1984. She was a member of Bethany Evangelical Lutheran Church.
Survivors include one son, Randy Kolar, Manitowoc; one daughter and son-in-law, Linda and Steven Graczykowski, Medford, Wis.; one brother and sister-in-law, Adolph (Hammy) and Jen Hamachek, Manitowoc; two sisters and one brother-in-law, Rose Mary and Paul Cox, Manitowoc, Florence Zima, Manitowoc; two sisters-in-law and one brother-in-law, Bob and Bernice Kolar, Manitowoc, Lillian Moore, California; five grandchildren, Sally and Greg Graczykowski, Port Washington, Sandi Graczykowski, Medford, Eric and Chris Kolar, Two Rivers. She is also survived by her step-mother-in-law, Ruth Kolar, Manitowoc.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband James; two brothers-in-law, Don Zima and Richard Moore.
Funeral Services will be at Bethany Evangelical Lutheran Church. Entombment will follow at Knollwood Mausoleum, town of Kossuth. Memorials may be made to the Bethany Evangelical Lutheran Church or the Diabetes Foundation. The Jens Funeral Home, Manitowoc, is assisting the family.
