WILLIAM H. KRACHT
William H. Kracht, age 82, of Custer Street in Manitowoc, died Saturday afternoon, December 27, 1997, at Holy Family Memorial Medical Center here.
William was born March 6, 1915, in the town of Two Creeks, on the family farm, son of the late William Kracht, Sr. and his wife Augusta Landta Fritsch. He was Baptised at St. John Ev. Lutheran Church, Two Creeks, in April of 1915, and confirmed into the Lutheran faith in 1928.
On September 2, 1941, he and Frieda B. Buschmann were married at St. John Church in Two Rivers. They continued on the family farm until 1988, except for a brief period from 1946 to 1948 when they lived in the town of Mishicot on Hwy 163. His wife, Frieda, preceded him in death on March 23, 1986, as the result of an automobile accident. William was a member of the Mishicot Senior Citizens.
He is survived by one very dear friend, Ethel C. Robinson, of Mishicot; and four sons and their families, Donald W. Kracht, and his wife, Ann, and their children, Mrs. Dave (Kim) Paulson, Appleton, Kendall, Stevens Point, Mrs. Bob (Kris) Schramkowski, Greenfield, and Kevin and Kari, Stevens Point, William R. Kracht, and wife, Mary, and their son, Daniel, Midland, Mich., Ralph V. Kracht, and wife, Debra and their children, Jason, and wife Kim, Brad and wife Missy, and their son, Bradley Jr., Colleen, Nathan, Lisa, and Lori, all of Manitowoc, James E. Kracht, and wife, Linda, and their children, Andrew, Ethan, and Tori, of Cupertino, Calif.; one brother-in-law, Leo Massman; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends also survive.
He was preceded in death by his sister, Junita Massman (findagrave #95213399).
Funeral Services will be held at St. John Ev. Lutheran Church, Two Creeks, and entombment will be at Knollwood Mausoleum, town of Kossuth.
