VERNON O. KRUEGER

Vernon O. Krueger, age 76, of 1202 S. 35th St., Manitowoc, died on Monday morning, Dec. 1, 2008, at Aurora Medical Center, Two Rivers.

He was born on May 19, 1932, in Potter, son of the late Clarence and Anna (Jentch) Krueger. Vernon was a graduate of Trinity Lutheran School in Brillion. On May 17, 1952, he married the former Delores Moschel at St. John St. James Lutheran Church, Reedsville. Vernon was employed at the Mirro Company for 41 years, retiring in 1994. He loved to go fishing and hunting. In his retirement years, he enjoyed spending time at Shawano Lake in the summer months by his trailer and his little dog, Mickey.

He was preceded in death by his father-in-law and mother-in-law: Albert and Mathilda Moschel; two infant sisters; three sisters and brothers-in-law: Gladys and Orville Krueger; Rosella and Herman Sturtz; and Lillian and Ted Mickel; three brothers and two sisters-in-law: LeRoy Krueger, Vilas and LaVern Krueger, and Clarence J. and Doris Krueger; an infant grandson: Jillian Krueger; four sisters-in-law: Diane Moschel; Joyce Krueger; Audrey Krueger; and Lorraine Krueger; a brother-in-law: Raymond Bratz; and a nephew: David Krueger.

Funeral services will be held at 2:30 p.m. on Thursday, Dec. 4, 2008, at Knollwood Mausoleum, town of Kossuth. Officiating at the Service will be the Rev. Dr. James Klein, with entombment at Knollwood Mausoleum.

The family will greet relatives and friends at Knollwood Mausoleum, town of Kossuth, from 1 p.m. on Thursday, Dec. 4, 2008, until the time of service at 2:30 p.m. The Pfeffer Funeral Home & Cremation Care Center, Manitowoc, is assisting the family with funeral arrangements.

The family would like to extend a special thank you to the Aurora Vince Lombardi Cancer Care Center and to Dr. Edward Barylak and his staff and the Aurora Medical Center Intensive Care Unit step down unit and their staff, and to Robert and Kris for their care and compassion shown towards Vernon and his family.
